Well, maybe you got a different model from JCW than I did. Mine was the turned-out style. I can't see very far into it for that reason. I know it has at least one baffle from poking around with a peice of steel. We don't have any regular inspection in Ohio, but local police can and do stop riders for excessive noise.
If you want to spend the $, you won't be disappointed with a Jardine. As an alternative, I found mine on e-bay for $55, but it was pretty heavily used. I hid the worst parts with some heat shields.
